04/04/2011 (posted 06/04/2011)
I was up until 4am last night/this morning uploading blogs. Thirteen down, seven to go.
I thought I´d be able to sleep until about midday but Ryan and Kelly came round for group devotions at 9am so I was up bright and early.
I really didn´t do too much today.
After group devos a few of us watched Toy Story 3 with Nora, Ryan and Kelly´s middle child. It´s such an awesome film, even for the second time.
I can´t remember what I did for most of the afternoon but at 4pm, I Skyped Amy.
It´s been six weeks since we´ve spoken in person, since when it´s been the occasional Facebook message here or there when I can get to an internet cafe so it was very nice to see her again. It´s also nice to hear about stuff from home - it seems a whole life away now.
But it was very nice indeed.
In the evening we went to Roger and Elisabetta´s for a barbecue. Elisabetta cooked some outrageously good food including a red cabbage salad and pasta in some unbelievable sauce.
I also had a chance to hold Jacob, Ryan and Kelly´s newborn son. He´s so cute and I love babies - can´t wait to have kids of my own. I will wait though.
We were then swarmed by massive flying bugs. I swatted one on my head and when I looked at my hand, it was covered in bug juice - it looked like a big splodge of barbecue sauce. It was horrific.
After dinner we watched Repo Men, one of the worst films I have seen. Don´t ever bother watching it.
